A walk along Scout Scar - 25 August

Rich and I undertook a 10 mile ramble around Kendal taking in Kendal Fell, Helsfell, Cunswick Scar, Scout Scar, Helsington, then across to the River Kent at Prizet and back to Kendal.

We had to negotiate the busy A591 to get to Prizet

Site of an old Roman fort - nothing much there now, though

We passed near the home of Kendal Town FC - on Saturday they beat, previously unbeaten, Hednesford Town 2-1 in the Evostik Premier Division with all the goals coming in the last 15 minutes.
