A trip to (Mick) Jaggers Clough

This week, we reprised last year's "Walk of the Year" (as voted by our group at our Christmas gathering). Steve, once again, led us from Edale, via Back Tor, Lose Hill and Hope Cross to Jaggers Clough and then back to Edale.

For details of this award-winning walk see Walk of the year - 2011

Dave was so excited about re-visiting this walk that he left his boots at home. The team had a quick get together and decided that he should go home and fetch them.

The rest of us set off and Dave expected to catch us up somewhere along the way

It is easy to see how this walk won the award. The views are superb.

Lose Hill - from afar and Dave was apparently on his way round it

The Hope Valley line

Hope Cross - with its top now securely cemented on (it was pinched earlier in the year and found a few days later near Bradwell)

Still no sign of Dave and we were getting hungry ...

... so we lunched behind the wall near Hope Cross ...

... before setting off to (Mick) Jaggers Clough, where we met up with Dave

Once again Brian produced his gazelle-like leap across the stream - very impressive

Then back to Edale and a refreshing pint at The Rambler Inn
