Tramlines Festival - The Folk Forest

This was the third Tramlines Festival - the "Free for all Music Festival" in Sheffield - to celebrate Sheffield's diverse musical community. The Festival ran from 22-24 July at many, many venues across the city.

We went to the Folk Forest in Endcliffe Park for a couple of concerts - here are some photos

Tyde

We had seen them at Warwick Folk Festival a couple of years ago. Further information about them is on their website http://www.tydefolk.co.uk/site/

Nancy Kerr and James Fagan

We have seen this (now) Sheffield-based duo many times - and they have always given great performances. See their website for more details - http://www.kerrfagan.com/

Monster Ceilidh Band

There was dancing in the aisles for the Newcastle band - see http://www.monsterceilidhband.co.uk/

Martin Simpson

Putting some of my photographic skills from the recent workshop - Martin Simpson in focus but guy in audience out of focus.
This was the first time we had seen him - and will not be the last. See http://www.martinsimpson.com/ for details

Played to a packed and appreciative audience

Great hat

... and finally a word from our sponsors ...

"Cheers"
