Jeju adventure - Ripley's Museum

On the only wet day during our stay on Jeju, we visited Ripley’s "Believe It or Not!" Museum.

It was originally created by Robert Ripley (1893-1949) and is the largest museum franchise business in the world, with 31 locations worldwide. The new branch on Jeju Island (near the entrance of Jungmun Resort, Seogwipo-si) is the 32nd location and 11th country for the chain.

The museum features some 600 astounding, one-of-a-kind items collected by Ripley the explorer during his travels over 35 years to 198 different countries.

Here is a flavour of the exhibits on show

James Bond's Aston Martin - made out of cardboard

a moose made of nails

a gurning man

a horse made from horseshoes

a picture made from junk mail cuttings

a picture made using slices of toast

a photo of the world's oldest living identical twins (they were 102 at the time of the photo)

a sculpture of John Lennon (not sure what it was made from - but something unusual)

a Transformer man made out of car parts

a photo of yours truly in a mirror capsule
