Rail Ale Weekend - 4 - Keighley Bus Museum


We found this hidden treasure at its Riverside Depot - only a short walk from Keighley Railway Station.

Haworth Station and then...

... via Ingrow West, which was originally a Midland station at Foulridge, Lancashire ...

... and its Museum of Rail Travel




... then Oakworth which has been restored to its 1905 condition. It was where the 1970 film "the Railway Children" was filmed

The Brontë Parsonage Museum



The Parsonage was built in 1778. It now houses the library and exhibition room; it was presented to the Brontë Society in 1928

Rail Ale Weekend - 1 - getting there


On Friday 23 October we set off from Sheffield station for a Real Rail Ale Weekend along the Keighley-Worth Valley Railway line.

The occasion was the 6th annual music and beer festival based at Oxenhope


Then to Leeds


.. then by electric train along the Skipton line to ...




This is was what we had come all this way for ...

The joy of real ale and real steam!



This was our destination ...



... but we needed a resting place ...


... so back to ...
